Speculation continues to grow that the Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas are working on a significant trade this offseason. Various insiders have reported that Dubas expects to make a bang during the offseason. A recent report from The Fourth Period has the Leafs linked to the Arizona Coyotes. According to TFP, the Leafs have inquired on forward Conor Garland and goalie Darcy Kuemper. Garland had been linked to the Leafs during the trade deadline but ended up staying put in Arizona. The 25 year old is a restricted free agent with arbitration rights who's coming off a 39 point season which included 12 goals in 49 games after registering 22 goals in 68 games during the 2019-20 season. The 31 year old Kuemper is on the final year of his deal which carries a $4.5million cap hit, likely cheaper than what Frederik Andersen would be looking for. Kuemper has quietly been one of the most reliable goalies in the league on some terrible Coyotes teams and registered a 2.56 goals against average this past season along with a .907 save percentage. A deal for the duo would require some significant salary going the other way. In any case, do you think Garland and Kuemper would be good fits on the Leafs?
