"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas announced a contract signing on Tuesday. The team made the Wayne Simmonds extension official after NHL insider Elliotte Friedman leaked the deal yesterday. It's a two year deal which carries a $900k AAV. Much like Jason Spezza, Simmonds takes a hometown discount to stick around and play for the Leafs. While the two years might turn some off, it definitely helped Simmonds agreeing on the low salary and gives the Leafs another forward to leave exposed during the expansion draft. What do you think of the Simmonds deal?
