Despite scoring with Matthew Knies' stick, Bobby McMann took a few friendly shots at his teammate following the Leafs' comeback win Saturday night.

After losing his stick making a hit in the neutral zone, Bobby McMann skated past the Leafs' bench and grabbed Matthew Knies' stick before getting into the Leafs' zone.

Eventually, the Leafs regained possession and McMann made his way down the ice with William Nylander on a two-on-one before ripping a shot past Sam Montembeault to get the Leafs on the board and cutting the deficit to two.

McMann immediately pointed to Knies on the Leafs' bench acknowledging the assist from his stick.

Following the game, McMann was asked about using Knies' stick during the classic Hockey Night In Canada post-game interview and he had a hilarious response.

"It was white tape. Didn't love that," McMann quipped.

Speaking with reporters later, he elaborated more on choosing Knies' stick and made fun of his height.

"Saw a couple guys' sticks. Wanted Kniesy's. I thought that'd be the closest to it. Didn't really think about the white tape, though... Felt like I had to bend over a bit more; his is a little shorter. But then I was like, 'I gotta rip this with his stick and see what happens.'"

McMann was the Leafs' best player in the first period and was rewarded with the goal to kickstart their epic comeback, with the team scoring 7 unanswered goals in the second and third periods.

The Leafs will look to win their third in a row on Monday when they welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning to Toronto.
