"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas have made a pretty significant roster move. The team has signed prized free agent defenseman Mikko Lehtonen. Lehtonen was the KHL's leading scorer amongst defenseman last year and had a handful of teams were making a serious bid for him. The Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils and Los Angeles were reportedly leading the way with no mention of Toronto. However Dubas has swept in last minute and landed the defenseman. It's a one year deal with financial terms to be released later.
