"Toronto Maple Leafs' forward William Nylander has had a bit of a target on his back for the last couple of months. He heard lots of criticism for his hold out last summer and lots of fans wanted him to be traded. It doesn't sound like Nylander is going anywhere. The forward and the Leafs announced that Nylander will be changing jersey numbers this upcoming season. Nylander will go from #29 to #88. Some fans aren't too happy that Nylander is switching to #88 but for those that already have a #29 Nylander jersey, the 23 year old forward will take care of you. Nylander announced to fans that they can bring their old jersey's to Real Sports Toronto and have it recrested for free.
Making the switch ... what's old is new again #88 I've got you covered Leafs Nation, go to @realsportstoronto to have your jersey recrested on me. pic.twitter.com/gQWHZVxQMo — William Nylander (@wmnylander) July 15, 2019
