"New Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas is having a busy Wednesday. Just a couple of hours after announcing that the team has signed Connor Carrick to a one year contract extension, Dubas and the Leafs announced they've locked one of their goalies. The team has signed Calvin Pickard to a one year contract worth $800,000. Both are great signings by Dubas and won't in anyway interfere with a new William Nylander contract or extending Auston Matthews or Mitch Marner. Pickard spent most of last season with the Toronto Marlies, putting up a 21-9-1 record with a 2.31 goals against average and .918 save percentage. Are you surprised at the signing?
