The Boston Bruins have bested the Toronto Maple Leafs once again, this time in OT of Game 7 on a play that probably should have been icing.

The game was decided on a heartbreaking play, where the Bruins fired the puck down the ice in a play that very well could have been icing. As we all know, it's a game of inches and the officials missed the call. Unfortunately for the Leafs, David Pastrnak was first to the puck and made a sensational move on Ilya Samsonov to tuck it home.

The Leafs faced a tremendous amount of adversity in this series, down 3-1 at one point, with Matthews injured/ill, Nylander missing 3 games to start the series with what was believed to be a migraine disorder and with Joseph Woll unable to play in Game 7 after stealing Games 5 and 6.

There's no shame in how the Leafs performed in Game 7, but that's of little consolation now. There's only heartbreak in Toronto and likely a summer full of changes.
