The Toronto Maple Leafs will be without Joseph Woll tonight after being injured at the end of Game 6.

It's the worst case scenario. The news absolutely no Maple Leafs fan wanted to hear. Joseph Woll swooped in and saved the season and in a cruel twist of fate, the Leafs season now falls on the shoulders of Ilya Samsonov.

Woll appeared to injure himself attempting to preserve his shutout on the final play of the game. He dove across the net to make one final save with 0.1 seconds left, but landed awkwardly.

Woll reportedly tested out the injury at the short morning skate today, but that clearly did not go well as Martin Jones is backing up Ilya Samsonov. Samsonov didn't play poorly in Games 1 through 4, but he didn't play great either, which led to the switch by Sheldon Keefe. Now, Keefe and the Leafs will have to put their fate in the hands of a guy that has been consistently inconsistent all season.
