The Edmonton Oilers are in a downward spiral and in desperate need of goaltending help with Cam Talbot out and struggling anyways. Their backup currently filling in for Talbot clearly can't get the job done and has allowed five or more goals in three of his last five starts and has an .872 save percentage for the season. With Talbot still out until at least December 14th, that's a lot of points the Oilers could lose out on and general manager Peter Chiarelli could be forced to make a move. TSN's Frank Seravelli mentioned five potential trade targets for the Oilers, one of them being Leafs backup goalie Calvin Pickard. While it's rumoured the Oilers have been in talks with the Buffalo Sabres in regards to Chad Johnson, Pickard could still be an option considering the Leafs have McElhinney and Sparks ready to move up if called upon. What exactly could the Oilers give up for Pickard? He doesn't exactly have super heavy trade value. However the Oilers have been reportedly been shopping Anton Slepychev, Jujhar Khaira and Drake Caggiula. Slepyshev could be a fit since he doesn't require waivers and go down to the Marlies if need be. Do you think Lou should try and trade Pickard while he might be able to get some in return for him?
