The Toronto Maple Leafs hit the ice last night against the New Jersey Devils and got a win in their first game without Morgan Rielly and Jake Muzzin. Many expect the team to have some defensive struggles with the duo out and Toronto gave up four goals on 29 shots last night against the lowly Devils. While Muzzin could be back after the All-Star game, Rielly is out for the next two months which could lead to Kyle Dubas making a trade. NHL insider Bob McKenzie stated on the latest edition of "Insider Trading" that teams are calling Dubas to try and take advantage of the Leafs' need for defensive depth. McKenzie adds that a trade isn't totally out of the question and that the Leafs could move one of Kasperi Kapanen, Andreas Johnsson or Alex Kerfoot for a defenseman with similar contract. All three players have a salary cap hit in the $3million rage with Kapanen's deal ending first after the 2021-22 season.
