With the trade deadline just 10 days away, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman has added to the speculation that the Leafs are going to be swing big on two players.

The Maple Leafs have been linked to a number of players ahead of the trade deadline, with most being centres and defensemen.
Over his career, Leafs GM Brad Treliving has shied away from major deals at the deadline, often bringing in depth pieces like he did with the Leafs last year when he added a pair of defensemen and a forward in Connor Dewar, Ilya Lyubushkin and Joel Edmundson.
Given the uncertainty surrounding a new contract for pending UFA Mitch Marner, this season is being viewed as an 'all in' season for the Leafs and may push Treliving to make a major move ahead of the March 7th deadline.
On Saturday, during his usual 'Saturday Headlines' segment, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman revealed that teams have discussed the possibility of re-uniting Brayden Schenn and Luke Schenn.
On Monday, Friedman made an appearance on 'The FAN Hockey Show' and was asked about his comments regarding the Schenn brothers, noting that re-uniting them is something that Treliving would do.
"There's two teams that have asked [about the Schenn brothers]," said Friedman. "It certainly fits the M.O. of the Maple Leafs.»
It wouldn't be the first time Treliving has re-united brothers as he did so this past off-season when he signed Alex Nylander to an AHL deal, which eventually turned into an NHL contract.
Should the Leafs re-unite the Schenn brothers, it would be the second time the duo have played together, with the first being from 2012 to 2016 with the Philadelphia Flyers.
The move would be complex, given the Leafs' cap situation, and with an already high asking price for Brayden, the Leafs may be forced to empty what's left in the cupboards in terms of assets.
Adding the brothers, however, would give them two stable defensive players, with size, sandpaper, and physicality, and in Brayden's case, offensive capabilities for the bottom-six.
After a quiet three weeks thanks to the 4 Nations Face-Off, fans should expect a very busy 11 days as the 3PM deadline on March 7th approaches while hoping the Leafs are one of the teams to make a lot of noise.
