NHL Insider David Pagnotta has confirmed that Brad Treliving and the Maple Leafs are still in the trade market, taking calls on two forwards.

The Leafs are currently 5-4-1 through 10 games and while their start wasn't an ideal one, there were some positives to take away from it, including the play of new Leafs netminder Anthony Stolarz, a hot start for sophomore Matthew Knies and the surprisingly good fit between Oliver Ekman-Larsson and the Leafs.

Aside from these developments, the Leafs are about to enter a crucial junction where someone is going to have to move to create some cap space. According to Pagnotta, the Leafs are currently taking calls on both Calle Jarnkrok and Nick Robertson.

Nick Alberga and Jay Rosehill, hosts of the Leafs Morning Take podcast, invited Pagnotta on their show on Tuesday to talk about all things Maple Leafs. Their discussion covered a multitude of things, including the status of Jarnkrok when he returns from injury, which may include a move to Los Angeles. They also confirmed that Robertson is available, and would be very easy to move.

When referring to Jarkrok and his impending return, Pagnotta had the following to say about the versatile forward.

"One team I always wondered about was Los Angeles. The Kings have been looking for a 4C and somebody that can kind of stabilize the middle of their bottom six. That could be something later on that they kind of circle in on."

While the idea of moving Jarkrok is intriguing once he returns from injury, it might be a bit tougher to move him simply due to his ongoing health issues and $2.1M cap hit.

Nick Robertson has looked like a shell of his pre-season self thus far, and although that's not ideal, it is conceivable to think that he could still be a desirable piece.

"Nick Robertson is still somebody that you know would be in play if Toronto decides to move anybody as well," said Pagnotta.

The Leafs are tight against the cap with Jani Hakanpaa due back any day, so a move within the week certainly seems plausible. Whether it's Jarnkrok, Robertson or someone like Timothy Liljegren remains to be seen.
