"The Toronto Maple Leafs host the St. Louis Blues tonight, and forward Kasperi Kapanen is trying to put Saturday's blunder behind him. Kapanen threw a broken stick in the direction of Canadiens' defenseman Jeff Petry, that got Petry a penalty shot, which he scored on. It changed the energy of the game and the Leafs eventually gave up their lead and lost in the shootout. For Kapanen though, it's not just one play, it's his whole game that has stunk so far this season. "I mean, there's not much to it; it's still hockey and I know how to play hockey. It's just getting into the groove and getting in a groove with Mitchy and Johnny so hopefully it happens tonight."
Kapanen is expected to skate on the top line again with John Tavares and Mitch Marner.
