Kyle Dubas went back to familiarity once again as he continues to reshape the Penguins' front office and scouting department. This time, he took one of the most knowledgeable OHL scouts from the Leafs in Chris Roque.
This will be the third time Dubas has hired Roque as the two first teamed up when Dubas was the general manager of the Soo Greyhounds. Dubas then brought Roque to the Leafs when he was named GM over then fellow AGM Mark Hunter.
Now Roque will work with Dubas and another former Leafs director of amateur scouting, Wes Clark, to help the Penguins restock their very bare prospect pool in preparation for the eventual departure of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang.
This shouldn't really come as a surprise to many at this point as, like Clark, Roque was not one of Brad Treliving's hires and as we all know, everyone has their own guys.
