The Toronto Maple Leafs haven't had a captain since Dion Phaneuf and for some it's a pressing need. While most fans just want wins and could care less if there's a captain, others believe the team needs to name one. The two names that come to mind for everybody when you think of Leafs' captaincy is John Tavares and Auston Matthews. Well it doesn't look like anybody will be wearing the "C" on opening night as GM Kyle Dubas explained his plans to TSN's Bob McKenzie. "I want to get into a day to day with these people and see who's best suited to handle that, if we do determine that we need somebody to handle that (and) if we feel we have a void in leadership because we don't have a formal captain, then I think it's something we can address," he said. Dubas also stated that it's easier to wait now to find the right guy, then rush into a decision that would need to be fixed later on and possibly cause drama. What do you think of Dubas' decision?
