The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas made a pretty big announcement on Thursday. Toronto has hired female Canadian hockey legend and four time Olympic gold medalist Hayley Wickenheiser as the team's new assistant director of player development. Wickenheiser has plenty of knowledge to share as she stands as the all-time points leader for the nation's women's hockey program with 379 points in 276 games. The 40 year old also received the Order of Canada in 2011 and made history as the first woman to play full time professional hockey that wasn't a goalie. She was a guest coach during the Leaf's development camp earlier this summer. The legend will work under Stephane Robidas who was also named director of player development. What do you think of the hiring?
