After winning 7 Super Bowl rings during his illustrious NFL career, the greatest quarterback of all-time, Tom Brady, has decided to take his talents to the ice for the first time.
Brady was spotted out on the ice this week with Leafs legend Tie Domi and his son and current Maple Leafs forward Max Domi learning to skate under the tutelage of Tie, with the aid of a large, red skating aid trainer. Credit to Brady for giving it his full effort, even though he likely felt a little silly, being an elite athlete.
While Tie Domi wasn't exactly known for being the most skilled player or graceful skater, his son, Max is quite the opposite. Max made it to the NHL level, not through the use of his fists, but his elite playmaking, speed and strong skating ability. Of course, it doesn't hurt if your last name is Domi and you still do engage in the occasional scrap.
Brady was a good sport about his skating lessons with the storied Domi family, and while his on-ice skills don't necessarily mirror his skills on the turf, if he keeps up with his skating, a high-performance athlete like Brady will certainly become very good before long, once he gets the body mechanics down.
