Leafs Preparing To Name Auston Matthews Captain?
"The Toronto Maple Leafs have been without a captain for the last couple of seasons however it looks like that's about to change.
Earlier in the week Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reported that the Leafs were ready to name a captain before the season started but didn't feel comfortable doing it before the Mitch Marner situation was taken care of.
Auston Matthews and John Tavares have been the two names constantly attached to the captaincy and it seems they've made their choice.
The Leafs posted a video on Instagram that showed off behind the scenes of the first day of camp and many believe they covered the "C" on somebody's jersey.
That somebody is Auston Matthews.
