After a rather convincing victory last night against Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and the Edmonton Oilers, the Toronto Maple Leafs had to travel in quick order to Raleigh, North Carolina to face off against the red hot Carolina Hurricanes.

The Hurricanes are 8-1-1 over their last 10 games where they have outscored their opponents by 44-22 and even more daunting is the fact that they have gone 27-7-3 since coming out of the Christmas break.

Nevertheless, the Maple Leafs haven't been slouches either as they have posted a 14-4-1 record since the middle of February. They also received great news before puck drop in that Tyler Bertuzzi, Ilya Lyubushkin, and T.J. Brodie will all be returning to the lineup. Bertuzzi and Lyubushkin were ruled out of last night's game due to an illness, while Brodie has been a healthy scratch for the last 2 games.

The Leafs received big performances from their secondary and tertiary options last night with Bobby McMann scoring 2 goals and adding an assist while Pontus Holmberg scored 2 goals as well.

It's unclear how Sheldon Keefe will change his roster up with 3 players returning to the lineup but expect a full-strength Maple Leafs team looking to extend their winning streak to 3 games and earn their 15th win in their last 20 attempts.
