Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll shows the Leafs' fan base a ton of respect for their overwhelming support during the team's 4-game Western road trip.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have concluded a 4-game Western Conference road trip with a 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night, capping off a 3-1-0 run over that stretch, picking up 6 of a possible 8 points on the road trip.
Joseph Woll started 3 of the Leafs' 4 games on the trip, with tandem partner Anthony Stolarz finally making his triumphant return to the lineup against the Kraken on Thursday after missing nearly two months due to injury.
Woll has been playing well for the Leafs of late, but rather than crediting himself for the hard work and strong execution, Woll used his time in front of the camera on Saturday during his post-game interview to give some credit to the rowdy Maple Leafs fans who attended the road games and provided a home-game-like atmosphere on enemy turf.
"The three Canadian cities we played, it's almost like a home game. So, that's a testament to our fans, and it's awesome they get out here and support us. All I can say is, when that energy is there and when our fans are rooting like that, it changes the game for us, and it brings so much momentum. So, I love it. Keep it going."
Recently, we've seen players like Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner criticize the home fans at Scotiabank Arena for being a little too quiet. So, to see Woll celebrate the fans and to know that the Leafs' faithful are providing the team with a lot of energy on the road, it's certainly a refreshing change of pace.
The Leafs will now begin a 2-week break while the 4 Nations Face-Off is under way. With only Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and William Nylander taking part in the tournament, the team should be plenty rested by the time the season is set to resume. Hopefully the fans are ready for an exciting home stretch and can continue to provide the team with the energy they need to secure top spot in the Atlantic Division.
