The Toronto Maple Leafs were sad to announce that legendary peak performance coach Greg Harden has tragically and unexpected passed away.

The Maple Leafs took to Twitter/X this afternoon to share the heartbreaking news that they, along with the broader athletic community, are mourning the loss Harden, their esteemed peak performance coach.

Harden was renowned for his long tenure at Michigan State University, where he was affiliated from 1986 to 2019. He also gained recognition for coaching some of the greatest athletes, including Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady, Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard, and Olympic legend Michael Phelps.

A quote from Greg Harden's personal website highlights his approach to helping athletes unlock their true potential:

''My real obsession is to convince an individual that they have to determine for themselves what sort of man, what sort of woman they want to be. The goal is to make people experts on themselves.''

Harden served as the Maple Leafs' peak performance coach starting in 2021 and was instrumental to the organization during his time with them.

Regarded as a 'secret weapon' in many athletic programs and individual careers, Greg Harden will be deeply missed by all. Rest in paradise, Greg.
