Hard to believe that we are nearly a week into the month of March and we haven't seen the Buffalo Sabres yet. The gets remedied tonight with the first of four meetings over the next three and a half weeks.
Head coach Mike Babcock will make a pair of lineup changes from what we saw Saturday night against the Washington Capitals. Connor Carrick draws back in on the third pairing with Roman Polak coming out.
Matt Martin will play for the first time since January 22, ending a streak of 18 straight games being a healthy scratch. Dominic Moore is likely coming out of the lineup to make room for Martin.
Year one of the Phil Housely era has been a disaster in Buffalo. Instead of taking a step closer to challenging for a playoff spot, the Sabres will be one of the favorites to land the top pick at this year's Draft Lottery. Their odds should increase with leading scorer Jack Eichel on injured reserve.
