"The Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs have both been rebuilding the last couple of years, however the results have been completely different. While the Leafs are looking to make the playoffs for the second year in a row, the Sabres haven't made the playoffs in over five seasons. The Leafs future looks bright, while the Sabres future is still filled with plenty of question marks. The two teams will face off in Buffalo on Monday and Leafs head coach Mike Babcock was asked about how the rebuilds have ended up so different. "(The draft lottery) was beyond our control and worked out for us. Most of the stuff is within your control: How you go about doing your job every day, how you scout, how you trade, how you control your cap, how you manage your product. ... To me, you're not hoping to get lucky there." Babcock said. Like the Leafs, the Buffalo tank was already supposed to over, however it's far from it and they don't have much help coming through the team's farm system. The Sabres at the moment have the second best chance at landing the #1 pick overall this year, but with their luck, they'll probably land the 5th pick overall.
