The weather has been the main story line as rain and high winds cancelled Friday's scheduled practices for both teams. It will still be very windy at puck drop, but the game is still planned to go on as schedule. When asked about not being to get on the ice until pregame warmups, head coach Mike Babcock did not seem too concerned as he pointed out that it is the same for both teams. "This is my fourth (outdoor game), we'll just find a way to play the best we can,» Babcock said about the unknown conditions, per Lance Hornby. «Lots of times there's not a ton of plays in these games because the ice is no good. Well, don't turn the puck over. (Move) it a different way." There will only be one lineup change from what we saw in Tuesday night's overtime loss to the Florida Panthers as Roman Polack will return to the third defensive pairing while Connor Carrick sits.
