It was a runaway game for McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers, who chased Sergei Bobrovsky from the Florida Panthers' net en route to a dominant 8-1 victory to send the series back to Florida for Game 5.
As games tend to do when the score is lopsided, this one got a bit out of control at times, with the following incident drawing a lot of attention.
When asked about feeding McDavid a number of unanswered shots in the exchange, Tkachuk simply said "classic playoff hockey."
It's a little surprising to me that Tkachuk was able to even get that far in the exchange. Typically, if you grab the best player in the world and begin feeding him shots like that, you'll get absolutely mauled by his teammates.
At any rate, Tkachuk may have one the battle, but McDavid and the Oilers won the war on Saturday, extending the series and giving Oilers fans just a little bit of hope.
The Panthers lead the series 3-1, with a chance to end it all on home turf on Tuesday back in Florida.
