Toronto native Max Domi shares incredible video edit, showcasing his excitement and love for the Maple Leafs ahead of Saturday's home opener.
After going 1-1-0 in their first two games of the NHL season, the Toronto Maple Leafs will host the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.
Playing the Penguins always generates a bit of extra energy, especially since they are now led by former Leafs general manager, Kyle Dubas, who spent 9 years with the organization before being relieved of his duties two summers ago.
Max Domi, the son of former Maple Leafs legend Tie Domi, has long showcased his fandom for the team he grew up idolizing. The second generation NHLer showed the love he has for the Leafs once again on Saturday morning when he took to social media to share his enthusiasm for the season opener.
In an Instagram post early Saturday morning, he wrote:
''Buds are back.😤''
The post was accompanied by an impressive video edit:
Domi enters the season with a new team-friendly deal worth $3.75 million per season over the next four years, following an impressive first season with the club in which he recorded 47 points in 80 games and led the team in penalty minutes with 118. He has already notched one point in two games this season.
Tonight, Domi, alongside newly appointed captain Auston Matthews and the rest of the team, will look to start strong at home against the Penguins, sending Dubas and company back to Pennsylvania on a losing note.
