"We're officially at the halfway point for NHL teams across the league and we have a pretty good idea of the standout stars of the season. A panel at NHL.com has been putting together lists for every NHL award and a Maple Leaf found himself at the top of their most recent. The panel selected Frederik Andersen as the winner of the Vezina Trophy at the midway point of the season. Andersen recieved 64 points, two more than Anaheim Ducks goalie John Gibson. "Andersen ranks second in the NHL with 20 wins and is in the top 10 in save percentage (.923) and goals-against average (2.50) among goalies who have played at least 20 games."The Leafs haven't had a Vezina winner since Terry Sawchuk in 1964-65 and Michel "Bunny" Larocque in 1980-81 who split the season with the Canadiens and Leafs and also split the trophy with the Canadiens' two other goalies Denis Herron and Richard Sevigny.
