The last remaining Toronto Maple Leaf to be signed is William Nylander who doesn't have any arbitration rights. Just a couple of days ago, Nylander was tight lipped regarding the situation as he refused to give any details, he's now taken a different stance. When speaking to TSN, Nylander would only confirm his agent and Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas were negotiating and refused to answer anything about contract specifics. However when speaking to Luke Fox of Sportsnet, Nylander confirmed he's looking for a long term deal and willing to take it day by day until he gets it. What if Nylander doesn't have a contract once training camp opens?«I've not thought about that. That's between my agent and Kyle. I'm waiting to see what happens,» Nylander replied. «They're going to negotiate it, so I don't think that'll be a problem.»
