While the end of Toronto's season was approximately two months ago, Joseph Woll finally got around to posting to social media, thanking fans for their support in 2023-24 and expressing his excitement for next season.
Not long after Woll posted on Instagram, Max Domi made a post of his own, showing some love to his goaltender.
It seems highly unlikely that Domi would be so openly posting Maple Leafs content during his ongoing negotiations if he didn't intend on being back.
In previous years, we have seen players outright remove their affiliations with their team during negotiations, sparking speculation of a possible departure only to turn around and sign an extension. With Domi, I don't think we'll see that.
The 2nd generation NHLer was born to be a Leaf. His dad, Tie Domi, played for more than a decade in Toronto and Max actually grew up at Scotiabank Arena (then Air Canada Centre), so it's pretty much built into his DNA at this point.
I'd be shocked if he leaves this summer, especially after posting Leafs content mere weeks before the start of free agency.
