Report: Matthews Will No Longer Be Named Captain.

"Just a couple of weeks ago it was all but confirmed, the Toronto Maple Leafs would be naming Auston Matthews captain before the season started. Well it seems that plan has been thrown out the window. Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports that due to the recent incidents and Matthews not letting the Leafs know before hand, being named captain "is likely off the table". Brian Burke takes it one step further. Burke went on Sportsnet 650 and said the Leafs will be naming John Tavares captain instead.
