The Toronto Maple Leafs dropped another game last night and have yet to win a game during their Western California road trip. Despite the loss, the Leafs still hold a five point lead on the Florida Panthers for third place in the Atlantic Division. According to The Athletic's projection model, the Leafs shouldn't worry about making the playoffs as they sit with a 92% chance of making the playoffs. Finding success in the playoffs is a different story according to their model. The Leafs only have a 35% chance of making it past the first round and a measly 5% chance at winning the Stanley Cup.
