Maple Leafs superstars Auston Matthews and William Nylander are taking their summers very seriously after another disappointing 1st round exit.

On Friday, Nylander was spotted on his brother Alex's Instagram story, working out on the bike at poolside back in Sweden. The story was brought to light by Evan Doerfler of The Hockey News.

Meanwhile, back in Arizona, Auston Matthews was spotted on the ice with a few players for some summer skating. In the clip shared by Twitter user @ken___64, Matthews looks like he's moving pretty well.

Both Matthews and Nylander spend time on the sidelines during the Maple Leafs' round 1 series against Boston - Nylander with a migraine disorder so bad he couldn't even see straight and Matthews with a number of ailments, including a serious illness and a suspected head injury. It's nice to see that both players are not experiencing any ill effects into the summer that would prevent them from summer training.

There will be changes this summer, and one of the biggest ones has happened already, with the Maple Leafs coming into the 2024-25 season with a new coaching staff in place, led by Stanley Cup winner Craig Berube. It looks like Matthews and Nylander are doing whatever they can to put their best foot forward and try to be a part of the solution in Toronto.
