As everyone knows, one of the main themes of Halloween is getting all dressed up for a night on the town, whether that be going door-to-door to fill your pillowcase with treats or, for the adult crowd, heading out to a Halloween party or some other fun event.
Some costumes are pretty cliche for Halloween, such as Dracula, Frankenstein or Zombie. However, some are far more elaborate. Hats off to one fan who attended the Dallas Stars/Columbus Blue Jackets game last night dressed as none other than former Blue Jackets head coach Mike Babcock. And, of course, it was shared by Mike Commodore - one of Babcock's biggest critics.
By now, I'm sure everyone has heard about the infamous Mike Babcock cell phone scandal, where he reportedly went through the phones of his players, displaying their photos on a TV monitor in an attempt to "get to know them better". Well, this fan actually went through the phones of people sitting in his section - though I'm sure it was scripted and expected before the camera began to roll. The results were hilarious.
One of my best elaborate costumes ever was an old man who was hard of hearing and every time someone said something to me, I'd reply back with something that sounded similar and was entirely unrelated. I did this for about 6 hours straight. My commitment to the bit was unwavering and almost everyone who I encountered that night at the party thought it was hilarious. Needless to say, I appreciate elaborate costumes and I sincerely hope this fan dressed like Babcock committed to the bit and kept the theme going all night. Well done, sir!
