U.S. President Donald Trump to Attend 4 Nations Face-Off Final Amid Financial Feud with Canada

With Teams USA and Canada gearing up for an intense rematch in the 4 Nations Face-Off final, there is word that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, will be in attendance.

During an appearance on TSN 690 radio in Montreal, insider Darren Dreger said he's hearing Donald Trump will make the trip to Boston for the Canada-U.S. final.

While the 4 Nations Face-Off was bound to bring out the passion in players, the rivalry between the USA and Canada has been heightened by Trump's threats of a trade war with Canada, as well as musings about Canada becoming the "51st State."

This has led to some Canadian fans booing the American National Anthem, which culminated in a display of patriotism during the first game at the 4 Nations Face-Off with three fights in the first nine seconds.

Canada's Brandon Hagel also turned up the temperature this week by dunking on the Tkachuk brothers ahead of the rematch by saying he did what he did for the flag on his chest, not the cameras, pointing out that Team Canada doesn't have any group chats going on -- just a shared goal of winning.

Trump's attendance at the game would certainly add another layer of tension to an already tense situation, with Team USA's GM Bill Geurin saying the 51st State rhetoric has served as an inspiration to American players.
