The NHL kicked off its Global Series in Sweden yesterday with the Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators playing in an absolutely wild game. The Senators were up 4-0 before the Wings battled back and forced overtime. Unfortunately for the Wings, their comeback fell short as Tim Stützle scored the overtime winner by batting a puck out of mid-air.

Stützle's overtime winner was skillful, but it was former Maple Leafs goaltender James Reimer's reaction to the shot that caught the attention of many. In reacting to Stützle batting the puck out of mid-air, Reimer seemingly ducked out of the way of the shot to avoid being hit in the mask while attempting to make the save. It's not exactly a good look for the veteran net-minder, especially after the team battled back from a 4-0 deficit.

You'd think Reimer was dodging the puck all game long if you didn't know any better, as he gave up 5 goals on 34 shots, including 3 on the first 9 Senators' shots, leading to a .853 save percentage.

In six games this season with the Wings, Reimer is 2-2-2 with a 2.30 GAA and .917 save percentage. The Wings are one of many teams carrying three goalies currently due to their fear of losing one on waivers and have split games between Reimer, Ville Husso and Alex Lyon, who will get the start today against the Leafs.

Should the Leafs have inquired about Reimer in the off-season instead of signing Martin Jones?
