Jakob Chychrun reveals why he went down the tunnel with the Stars to Dallas locker room on Friday

Ottawa Senators defenceman Jakob Chychrun went viral this week in Friday's meeting with the Dallas Stars for exiting down the wrong tunnel at first intermission.
It didn't take long for the social media chirps to begin:
"That's one way to tell a GM what team you want to be traded to," one Twitter user joked.
"What one period of DJ Smith hockey does to someone," remarked another.
The Stars' home arena, American Airlines Center, is one of the rinks in the NHL where visiting players need to skate off through a corner exit rather than just depart from behind their bench, so it was a bit shocking for some to see Chychrun skate off with the Stars, heading towards their locker room, while the Sens headed off to their own locker room in the corner.
Chychrun caught wind of the wildfire that was spreading on social media this week and chose to address it with fans on Saturday to try to put out the fire.
"For those wonderingI was told to meet the Stars team doc at their room for some repairs," Chychrun said on social media. "Thanks for the laughs this morning 🤣."
The 25 year old was productive when he did return, recording three assists, while skating over twenty five minutes in the 5-4 loss to the Stars.
Chychrun leads the Sens defense in scoring with 5 goals and 20 points in 25 games while averaging 23:13 in ice time.
