As Team Canada prepares for the first best-on-best international competition since the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, with the Four Nations Face-Off set to take place in February, they continue to fill out their management team.
On Tuesday afternoon, Hockey Canada announced that former Leafs GM Kyle Dubas and current Bolts GM Julien BriseBois have been added to their staff for the Four Nations. They will also hold their respective positions for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Dubas will serve as President of Player Personnel while BriseBois will serve as assistant general manager. This will be BriseBois' first foray into international competition and Dubas' second as he helped guide Team Canada to a fourth place finish at the 2024 World Hockey Championships as associate GM.
Dubas and BriseBois join Boston's Don Sweeney, Dallas' Jim Nill and Blues' Doug Armstrong in the front office as they look to return Canada to the top of the mountain in international competition. Additionally, decorated Team Canada forward and Stanley Cup Champion Ryan Getzlaf will serve as player relations advisor.
Earlier this summer, Team Canada, along with Teams USA, Sweden and Finland, named the first six players to each of their rosters. To no one's surprise, Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar, Brad Marchand, Connor McDavid, and Brayden Point were named to Canada's roster.
