Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they have come to terms with pending RFA Connor Dewar on a 1-year deal as he avoids arbitration.

The Maple Leafs took to their Twitter page to make the announcement that Dewar has avoided arbitration and will stick around with the club. The Hockey News' David Alter then followed that tweet up with his contract details that includes a one-year deal worth $1.18 million dollars.

Dewar was acquired by the Leafs ahead of the trade deadline last season from the Minnesota Wild for prospect Dmitry Ovchinnikov and a 2026 fourth round pick. Leading up to the deal, Dewar had 10 goals and 14 points in 57 games played for the Wild and added a goal an 5 points in 17 regular season contests for the Leafs. In 6 post-season games, Dewar recorded an assist and averaged 11:10 TOI.

For his career, Dewar has 19 goals and 43 points in 190 games played across 3 seasons, while averaging 11:02 TOI. He's expected to fill out a bottom-6 role yet again in 2024-25.
