With their new general manager finally chosen, it's time for GM Kyle Dubas and the Toronto Maple Leafs to start their offseason work. Many suggest that Tyler Bozak, James van Riemsdyk and Leo Komarov are likely to join new teams, Dubas will have to look for some depth for the bottom six. Head coach Mike Babcock will likely ask for a couple of veterans to lean on and Peter Ferrell of The Hockey Writers has come up with five who could make sense for the Leafs.Brandon Pirri : Pirri's career has kind of died after scoring 22 goals during the 2014-15 season with Florida. Overall the 27 year old has 60 goals in 228 games along with 41 assists. He could be a low risk signing and has never had a cap hit over $1.1million in his career. David Desharnais: This likely won't happen as multiple reports have Desharnais set to jump overseas and play in the KHL. Michael Grabner: The former Leaf has enjoyed a rejuvenation of his career over the past two seasons. After only scoring nine goals in 80 games with the Leafs in 2015-16, he's followed that up with back to back seasons of 27 goals. Grabner definitely has the speed to fit in with the current Leafs, but considering his recent production might be too costly. Patrick Maroon: The 30 year old has 44 goals and 85 points over the past two seasons, that of course comes from playing alongside superstar Connor McDavid. Could he be a good winger for Auston Matthews? Could he be a cheaper less productive JVR replacement?Tomas Plekanec: The 35 year old struggled to find his game during the regular season but put it all together in the playoffs. It would be a low risk move for the Leafs considering they know exactly what they'd be getting. Who from this list would you like to see on the Leafs roster next season?
