During Thursday night's game against the Minnesota Wild, Ilya Mikheyev left with what was deemed a non-COVID related illness. Today, Sheldon Keefe said that there's a bug running through the Leafs locker room.

It does not appear to be serious, but it could be problematic if the Leafs have several guys who won't be able to go in Detroit. It's not all bad news however, as it means that one of their best prospects, Nick Robertson, will be in the lineup tomorrow night against the Red Wings.

Robertson has limited experience playing in the NHL, but he certainly hasn't looked out of place when he's been there. He made his debut during the 2020 playoffs in the Toronto bubble and even scored a goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Unfortunately injuries derailed his 2021 season - resulting in the Leafs 2019 second round pick seeing limited action last year. Robertson's 2022 season was derailed when the 20-year-old broke his leg at the beginning of this season. He has looked impressive since his return and has registered 8 points in 9 games for the Marlies this season.

The California kid has had many curveballs thrown at him throughout his development, but an impressive showing tomorrow in Detroit couldn't hurt his chances of making the full-time jump to the NHL sooner than later.
