Usually when players are competing in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, their focus narrows to the next game. It's not that they care less about other things, but more an alignment of their priorities. Winning is important, but never more important than it is come playoff time. Still, that doesn't mean that a player isn't willing to take time out of his day to make a young fan smile.

Just before the Leafs/Panthers Game 5, which we now all know ended in another heartbreaking elimination for the Buds, a fan had posted a video of her son reading a letter than he had written to Leafs defenseman Luke Schenn recently. The post had read:

"I don't normally use Twitter but this is obviously an exception. My 6 year-old wrote a letter to Luke Schenn and sent him a video. Here's what happened next. Go Leafs Go!"

What she was alluding to was Schenn actually sending a video reply to her 6-year-old son's letter.

Schenn is all class. As hard-hitting and intense as he can be on the ice, he just seems like a big teddy bear off the ice. A father of 3 himself, Schenn knows how just a little attention can truly make a child's day. For this young fan, I'm sure this is something he'll never forget.
