The New York Rangers made waves this week when they revealed that they were looking to trade their 2018 1st round pick, Nils Lundkvist. The 22-year-old right-shot defenseman is certainly not going to be difficult to move and it appears as though the Montreal Canadiens are among the teams with interested, but that's not the only Rangers prospect they're looking at.

According to Patrick Lortie, the Habs are also very high on another first rounder from 2018 in 22-year-old winger Vitaly Kravtsov, whom the Rangers have been reportedly looking to move for some time.

Both Lundkvist and Kravtsov have failed to make the type of impact at the NHL level that the Rangers had hoped, but both prospects still have plenty of upside. It's unclear at this point who the Habs would be willing to give up in order to acquire the Russian winger and Swedish defenseman, but the Rangers are certainly not about to just give a pair of 22-year-olds away.

From the Habs' perspective, the move makes a lot of sense, as both Lundkvist and Kravtsov are still young and would certainly fit into the Habs' rebuild plans, bolstering both their forward group and D corps.
