Kyle Dubas was busy on Tuesday, orchestrating trades that saw the Leafs parting ways with Ramus Sandin and Pierre Engvall in exchange for multiple draft picks, Erik Gustafsson and even re-acquired Luke Schenn from the Vancouver Canucks in the process. This all went down while the team practiced in Seattle before catching their flight to Edmonton and continuing their five-game road trip.

Naturally, this would've been a lot for the guys on the team to take in once they were brought up to speed. Auston Matthews admitted as much following practice.

Despite the whirlwind, Matthews went on to acknowledge what these trades mean from a member of the roster's perspective and the support they feel, given all of the moves that management is making to help give the team the best chance to win when it matters.

Amongst the recent trades Dubas has made in the past few days, the Leafs have also acquired Jake McCabe from the Chicago Blackhawks, a former teammate of Matthews, who has high hopes for the new addition.

There are two days left until the trade deadline, and there's large speculation that Dubas may not be done yet. Although it's hard to say if any more Leafs trades will be made, the roster seems optimistic about all the changes made.
