By now, we've likely all seen this Evander Kane hit on Nazem Kadri from Game 3 that forced Kadri out of the game due to injury and landed Kane in the box to serve a 5-minute major penalty for boarding - though the real call should have been 5 and a game for a dangerous cross check from behind.

During the later stages of the game, reports began to surface, most notably from TSN's Darren Dreger and Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, that Kadri was not only done for the night, but the remainder of the series. Following the game, Avs head coach Jared Bednar confirmed that to be the case, adding that Kadri may even miss additional time as a result of the hit, calling it "the most dangerous hit in hockey".

While no official details were released on the Kadri injury, Kadri was reportedly spotted leaving Rogers Place in Edmonton sporting a cast on his right arm, which indicates that he may have suffered a broken bone on the play.

I have a hard time believing that Kane is going to be able to just skate away with this one with a 5-minute major penalty and a slap on the wrist. I'd anticipate that we'll hear from Player Safety at some point today announcing a hearing, or at the VERY least, a fine.
