Bunting responds to Kane calling him a diver following last night's win over the Oilers
Following the Leafs' huge 7-4 win over the Oilers last night, Edmonton's Evander Kane called out Leafs winger Michael Bunting for diving and embellishment. Today, before practice, Bunting was asked how he felt about Kane's comments.
"I don't really care, to be honest. I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Yeah, just made a few comments, but I'm not really the type to bring it to the media. So, I'm just going to leave it at that," responded Bunting.
Bunting has seen himself shuffled down in the Leafs' lineup recently as he has not only struggled to produce offensively, but has also taken a number of bad penalties that have complicated matters for the Leafs. He has just 2 goals and 4 points over his last 9 games and saw his ice time drop below 11 minutes in last night's win.
While Bunting has struggled in recent weeks, he still has 20 goals and 43 points in 65 games this season.
