Brock, like Cole, is a a diminutive winger, standing 5'9, and 159 lbs. After spending 3 years with the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL, Brock Caufield committed to the University of Wisconsin, playing 5 seasons in the NCAA before becoming an unrestricted free agent. After weighing the options he was presented with, he opted to sign with the Leafs' AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.
Naturally, with Cole Caufield being a Montreal Canadien, the two brothers now playing with rival organizations, talking hockey can be a bit of a contentious subject. Cole implied on Saturday, ahead of the Leafs/Habs game, that he does indeed give his brother grief over his choice.
Brock is not as skilled as his brother, but had a pretty decent season in his final year with the University of Wisconsin, scoring 11 goals and adding 12 assists, totaling 23 points in 36 games this past season.
