As he heads back to the WHL and the Regina Pats after winning his second consecutive gold medal with Team Canada, Bedard, in his first game back, casually posted 4 goals, 6 points and 13 shots on goal, bringing his season totals up to 40 goals and 93 total points through just 36 games on the season. Simply insane numbers for the 17-year-old phenom.
Looking at this production over 82 games, it projects out to be a 91-goal, 212-point pace. The only question left for Bedard to answer is; how good is he going to be when he enters the NHL next season? Bedard has more than proven his skill while playing in the WHL. Through 2 1/2 seasons thus far, Bedard has put up 94 goals and 198 points through 106 games. He's an unbelievable player and is far too good to be playing in the WHL. It will be interesting to see what he can do against grown men at the NHL level.
