The Leafs skated away with a thrilling 5-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, but in other pre-season action last night, the Flames and Jets went to a shootout with the Flames winning 3-2. The win came off the heels of a ridiculous save from Flames rookie netminder Dustin Wolf, who then celebrated accordingly.

On what ended up being the Jets' final shoot-out attempt, Wolf looked to be beaten after biting on the fake only to slide across the net on his stomach and raise his leg to make a scorpion save on the Jets' shooter. Following the save, and helping the Flames secure the 3-2 shootout win, Wolf dropped the windmill celly to put an exclamation point on the win.

The 22-year-old has quickly risen through Calgary's depth chart after being selected in the seventh round of the 2019 draft and appears to be their goalie of the future. The Flames had been trying to move Dan Vladar this off-season to clear the way for Wolf, but they have been unsuccessful so far.
