At the end of last season, Mitch Marner was not only faced with the disappointment of yet another first round exit, but just after losing to Tampa in round 1 of the playoffs, Marner was unfortunately a victim of a car-jacking while out with his now fiancé. Marner's Range Rover was stolen from the parking lot by three assailants. Marner and his fiancé were thankfully unharmed in the incident. Nevertheless, it was a scary situation to be in.

Marner seems to have benefitted from the ordeal, though, as he posted about a new partnership with Land Rover Canada, with a pic of himself in Range Rover's new SUV earlier today. A couple of current and former teammates commented on the post, with Auston Matthews saying, "The new range got that dawg in it," but the comment of the day goes to former Leaf and current Oiler Tyson Barrie who clearly doesn't know how to read the room. Barrie commented "Boutta get jacked", making reference to and light of Marner's incident earlier this year.

It's absolutely ruthless, but at the same time, it's hilarious - and judging from the responses on Barrie's comment, everyone is taking it lightheartedly.
