A former Toronto Maple Leafs draft pick and defenseman for close to 300 games, blueliner Ian White hasn't played in the NHL since the 2012-13 season. However, he kept his professional career going as he has spent time in the KHL, AHL, and now the FPHL (Federal Prospects Hockey League).

The Motor City Rockers of the FPHL have just recently announced that they have acquired the former NHLer and he will be in the lineup for their upcoming game on Friday night against the Port Huron Prowlers at the Big Boy Arena in Fraser, Michigan - which might be substantial news as he spent time in Detroit for a few seasons.

White spent parts of 5 seasons with the Maple Leafs, scoring 28 goals and 105 points, found his way to the Calgary Flames for 43 games in parts of 2 seasons, part of a season with the Carolina Hurricanes, part of a season with the San Jose Sharks, and then finished things off with the Red Wings for parts of 2 seasons.

He then played for the Chelyabinsk Traktor in the KHL, 8 games for the Providence Bruins of the AHL, 34 games for the Milwaukee Admirals, and then called it quits before returning to the FPHL in 2021-22 as a member of the Columbus River Dragons.
